In Scottsdale, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Arizona vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. The most common schedule is 8 amβ5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (480) 970-4819. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is firstclassautoservice.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 250 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded auto repair shops in Scottsdale.
Scottsdale is in Arizona, in the Southwest, where the desert climate brings very hot summers, mild sunny winters and the summer monsoon; outdoor businesses shift their hours toward early mornings and evenings in the hottest months. Getting around Scottsdale is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Arizona's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

For 15 years I used to go to Whiteys Auto in Old Town, then they sold and became Gemba Automotive and a lot changed. Luckily I found First Class auto, they are my go-to shop for everything going forward. Andy is fair, responsive, communicative, and honest. My quote for the same work from Gemba was almost twice the price as First Class! Andy was also able to knock it out all for me in a single day so I could have my Bruce back for the weekend! (Jeep). Thank you First Class Auto!

Have been coming here for a little over a year since I move here. They always have appts and are friendly and have up front prices. Havenβt had anything other than regular maintenance but would feel comfy to get major work done here if needed

Amazing experience. After going to pep boys for an oil change and leaving with problems that I didnβt have before, First Class Auto was able to tow my car, have the parts and fix what needed to be fixed for way less than what I was quoted at pep boys. They did what needed to be done last minute and everything has been great since. Definitely recommend and will be coming here from now on.

UPDATE Because I cannot reply publicly, I will be editing my original post. I was at this establishment. There is a Salad and go across the street as well as a discount tire shop next to it, as well as the NAPA shop across the street. A few days before I wrote this review, I came with my boyfriend and while I was there, the gentleman with a beard was verbally abusing a much younger, shorter gentleman. I know what I saw and I know what I heard. For this to be denied is a very serious matter and is, quite frankly, a safety concern. Do better instead of pointing fingers elsewhere. There was nothing wrong with the service, but I witnessed something during my visit that will keep me from returning to this establishment. I saw an older worker verbally abusing a much younger worker, which I found extremely unprofessional from the older gentleman and damaging to the companyβs image. No employee should ever be treated that wayβwhether behind closed doors or in front of customers.

I would have had to sell my car if it wasnβt for First Class auto. I drive a 23 yr old Porsche Boxster that Carvana said is worth (to them) only $5000. I knew it needed new breaks and I reached out to several shops to get a quote for a front and rear break replacement. Everyone quoted $2500. There no way I would have paid half of what a car was worth just for breaks and I contemplating having to sell it. I gem like I was having to plan my carβs funeral too soon. Finally, I made one last attempt to reach out to First Class based on their awesome reviews. Iβm thrilled to report they gave me a quote 60% less than all the others! I was able to keep my car! Hallelujah! And when I took the car in, they could have lied and said I needed both replaced but they were honest and said only the rear needed replacing. So they great rates and integrity. I want to shout from the mountain tops how great this family -owned business is! Thank you First Class auto!
